No one at Monogaoka College of Music is as talented (or as self-important) as piano and violin student Chiaki Shinichi. He aspires to become a world famous conductor, but he's forced into the less-talented class because of his arrogant actions. There he meets Noda Megumi (nicknamed "Nodame"), who instantly falls in love with Chiaki. What magic will their mutual love of music bring?
